Rarely. We have true nationwide coverage that includes approval for all state required licenses. On occasion there are needs in remote locations where human development is sparse, and we will bring in vetted professionals that meet our strict qualification protocols.

A minimum of 2 years investigative experience is required to be hired as an Ethos investigator. Many of our employees exceed this requirement by many years. A majority of Ethos employees hold bachelor's degrees in criminal justice or a similar field. All new hire investigators must attend an 80-hour training course covering surveillance techniques, social media and background ethics, legal guidelines, report writing, and more.

As part of our training process, we educate investigators on potential testimony that they may be required to provide. We view testimony with great significance because we want to ensure that every investigator is conducting and documenting every investigation as if they were going to have to provide testimony. Ethos has saved our clients millions of dollars over the years as a result of our successful testimony.

Simply put, UR is a way for employers and/or claims administrators to determine if an injured worker's proposed, ongoing or previously provided medical service, treatment or prescription medication is medically necessary. This is accomplished by comparing the clinical facts of the case against specific evidence-based treatment guidelines or criteria.
